so i uploaded a bunch of the live webcam songs i recorded back in spring last night. to youtube. along with those two videos of me making a complete ass of myself. added to the seven "contra" videos already on my channel, i think i might have the lamest youtube channel evar.
anyway, i wasn't going to upload the videos. i made them in the first place for a few people who wanted to see me play and haven't really gotten to. my heart was in the right place, but i had two days of sound problems setting up while i should have been getting ready to move instead (back in may), and then the day that i actually just said "fuck it" and recorded them anyway was just a bad day all around, and it definitely shows in the videos. lastly, i recorded 24 songs, and out of that, only 9 were deemed (by me) even good enough to be worthy of the cesspool of self-aggrandizement that is youtube. so that should give you an accurate picture of how i feel about these videos.
they never did actually get sent to the people they were meant for, namely because i was sort of embarrassed by them. but then i decided to upload them onto the internet for any bob and his sister tom that might wander by and want to watch/verbally lacerate them.
why did i do this, you ask? well, partially because i'm insane. but also partially because i wanted to conduct a social experiment. and experiment to see if i could post slightly lame-ass content on the site most known out of the whole internet for its brutal commenting, targetless hatred, and unjustified bigotry...and survive.
so i'm waiting to see (already the views are jumping through the roof; youtube has some kind of exposure, compared to myspace music and reverbnation...and, uh, this blog, you slackers) what happens. i'm waiting to see how violent the backlash is. i'm interested, because, honestly i could care less. i could care less if faceless internet people think the videos or songs or singing or whatever is shit, and i could care less if they think it's awesome. i just made some songs, because that's what i do when i'm alone in my head to keep from going crazy. if that offends someone else, then they probably need to find a real hobby. if someone else likes a song, good for them, but that's not what i wrote it for. so i guess we'll see. feel free to leave your own horrifically, amusingly brutal comments. it'll be awesome. maybe i'll even insult myself for good measure.
sample video (complete with a few sound hics, so don't wear headphones) of "enemy":
and here's the link to the whole channel.
