it's finally warm enough here in pullman that opening the windows at night as a primitive form of AC is necessary. of course the trick is going to be getting up early enough in the morning to close them before the heat starts coming in.
instead of blogging all night tonight like usual, i spent the evening editing my page layout (as you might have noticed) and figuring out how to record live webcam video of me working on songs with crystal-clear soundboard-type audio (this will probably be bad for you in the long run).
so, instead of writing about tons and tons of shit, i'll just keep to my M.O. for the last few days and post a video of ryan adams playing a song.
this one holds the distinction of having my all-time favorite love-hating lyrics ("love sick" by dylan is a close second): "i wanna kick love right in its guts, beat it and leave it for dead/go and wash my hands in the river, and lie down and die in your bed". plus there's the always excellent face-melting outro jam (which is actually a little subdued on this version).
this is the best quality video i could find of the song, so you'll have to put up with henry's all-too-cute demeanor. the man carries himself like a politician. and he was in fucking BLACK FLAG. what gives?
Mostly related note: my ex had a total man crush on Henry Rollins. And the last guy I hooked up with? Has a liking for him as well. I'm not sure exactly what this means....Akron isn't that far away from where I live. Okay. It's like 4 hours, but still. I'm thinking we should meet. I'm sure this is a sign of something. Maybe that I've been sampling too much of a certain shiny beverage. Who knows....
