why you should love "blonde on blonde"...or die.

i'm growing fonder and fonder of the AV club (ironically as i also grow less and less fond of the onion). i thought this was a pretty damn good article on the relevancy of dylan's music (and by extension other non-contemporary artists who tend to get poo-poo'd by otherwise discerning and tasteful music fans because it's "their parents' music".

  1. I hope you're not confusing people who poo-poo this music because it's "their parents'" with those of us who poo-poo it just because it sucks and has no redeeming value that we can hear...

  3. Good music is like profanity... you know it when you hear it. Anyone who thinks they need to articulate "why" music is good or bad is confused...

  4. and all this time, i had you pegged for an empiricist..."pegged" being the important word in that sentence.

  5. You should know from my blog posts about religion that my trust in empiricism has it's limits.

By using the word "pegged" are you trying to insult my enjoyment of Steely Dan and his classic tune "Peg"... because if so, shit's about ta get hectic real quick...
