it's snowing like hell again tonight. as i was walking home, wet just-below-freezing flakes caking the outside of my hoodie and forming an icy crust around the hood protecting my fragile ears, i realized something. if it manages to keep snowing, or at least stays below freezing for 2 more weeks, winter will have officially lasted 6 months in pullman this year. our first snow last year (in 2007) was a little before halloween, and it's been, with the exception of a few sunny and 52-degree days, winter ever since. i wonder if there'll even be a spring this year or if one day we'll wake up and it'll just be summer.
