Damn, man, that's a huge blow. I hope you can get the stuff off the harddrive. If you can't get it off immediately, don't freak out and throw the drive. Depending on what it's worth to you, almost anything can be recovered off a harddrive (regardless of what the security people try to say), but you probably know that.
