this time, it was during my return from the saturday night cardinals show that i was (not caught in a flash flood, not subject to a timing belt razoring through the rest of my car, not subject to a dying car battery) o'ertaken by a massive snow storm and pummeled for most of what became a 7 hour odyssey instead of a lazy afternoon driving 240 miles. this drive was complicated not only by the snow, but also by the fact that for some reason ford felt compelled to outfit its ford focus hatchback with 13 inch tires that are approximately 2 inches wide and made of toothpicks and hate. it seemed a depressingly appropriate way to welcome me back from my idyllic 2-day vacation, actually. i tried to take some pictures, so i'll go heavy on those and light on words. especially since my next post is going to have a shitload of words.
