sea of red madness

it finally snowed tonight. then i got to drive my car down the treacherous-as-balls hill that you just absolutely have to descend in some fashion to get back to my apartment in that frantic first-snow-i-can't-remember-how-to-drive-in-these-conditions condition. also, i realized as a result of these circumstances that i haven't had a windshield scraper for three years. the last one i had was andrea's, which i broke. then i remember briefly having one my friend sarah gave to me. which i also broke. i used my arm this time. it might not be easier to scrape ice with, but it's sure harder to break.

anyway, here are some pictures of outside. i seem to remember snow being awesome, but tonight it was just cold and quiet and lonely. wait, can snow be lonely? shit. no, that must have been me.











here's a picture of a kit-kat i bought with a dollar. i had been wondering for weeks what was so special about this kit-kat, such that it would cost a dollar when all other snacky-foods cost 80 cents. imagine my surprise to find it to be thoroughly gigantic and emblazoned with a stentorian "KIT KAT" label imprinted in its tasty chocolate skin.



and lastly, after three days of constant grading and eating nothing but peanut butter and constant comment (which isn't really a food), you can actually use my coloring as a litmus test for sanity. first, look about 2 posts down at the picture i colored on friday afternoon. now, look at this picture:
